Happy New Year! I hope your holiday season was all that you had hoped it would be….whatever that is for you. Before those seasonal credit card bills arrive, please position yourself (and a few friends) to escape the winter blues and revel in a little nostalgia (think 90’s big hair) and a lot of musical chops by securing tickets to our first show of 2024…..

February 10: Kane & Potvin Tickets here

For those of us who were around in the 1990s, The Grapes of Wrath and The Northern Pikes are names that bring back lots of memories …. these were and are two hugely successful and influential Canadian rock bands. (Kevin) Kane & (Bryan) Potvin were principal songwriters in those respective bands and responsible for some of the biggest hits of the day and Kevin is now a permanent member of the Pikes.

Fast forward to 2023 and both Kevin and Bryan live in Nova Scotia making it easier for them to write and perform – together. Playing classic hits and new collaborations with a penance honed from decades on stage makes for one heck of a good show. Join us in the living room for an intimate and engaging night of songs and stories…..

This is reschedule from our original date of October 28. And while no longer falling on the eve of all hallows eve….feel free to pull out the best of your 90’s finery (bomber jackets with sleeves rolled up, penny loafers, blue eyeshadow en masse…..) and dress like you did when you attended your first Northern Pikes or Grapes of Wrath concert.

NOTE: Patchwork (https://patchworkhouseconcerts.ca) is a house concert series, i.e. we present concerts in our living room. For all shows the artist(s) take the door. We provide the stage, chairs and hopefully a room filled with eager listeners. We will provide a few snacks and soft drinks will be available; otherwise it is BYOB (we have glasses!). Bringing music-loving-friends and visiting family members is strongly encouraged.

Keep an eye out for our upcoming shows….we have Kristen Martell coming in April and Lynne Hanson in June but we expect to round these offerings out in the coming weeks…..

So gather some friends – grab your tickets – and head on over – easy as that!  For each show, the artist(s) take 100% of ticket sales.  We provide a stage, an audience and offer snacks to guests. All shows are BYOB.  Bringing music-loving-friends and visiting family members is strongly encouraged.  See you soon 🙂
