Valentine’s Day with the Christina Martin trio

This Valentine’s Day (Saturday, February 14) we welcome back the phenomenal artist – Christina Martin.  Christina Martin is a magnetic East Coast Canadian artist who stirs up a bold blend of pop, rock, and folk – with a heart that tells it like it is. Kicking off her solo journey in Austin, Texas, she opened for Wilco, The Killers, performed for The Queen, released eight fearless studio albums, toured internationally, and turned her emotions into anthems that dance between heartbreak and healing. Known for shows that make you sway, laugh, and maybe cry a little, Christina’s music proves that honesty rocks – and she’s just getting started.

For this show, Christina will perform as a trio, with Dale Murray on various instruments and Hannah Melanson on keys.  Christina and Dale normally appear in much larger venues; don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy her songs and stories in our intimate space.  It will be a magical night – fitting for February 14th. Skip the overpriced heart-shaped boxes of choocates and join us for a little music served up from the heart.

Tickets are $30 + fees and available here.

To round out our winter shows, we have two rising stars sharing the stage in March.  Brett Matthews and Freya Milliken will be here on Friday, March 6.  Tickets for this show are $25 and available here.  On April 3, we are hosting theatre!  TILT  is a hybrid theatre/improv show created by Solo Chicken Productions. Tickets for this performance are $25 and available here.  I have long wanted to bring theatre to our living room and after seeing this show at the Halifax Fringe, I knew I had the show!

NEW SHOW: For Mother’s Day… a matinee with Linda McLean.  Tickets ($25) available here.

Like all of our house concerts, 100 % of the door will go directly to the artists. We provide the stage, chairs and hopefully a room filled with eager listeners. Snacks and soft drinks will be offered; otherwise it is BYOB (feel free to bring what ever beverage you wish to enjoy). Bringing music-loving-friends and visiting family members is strongly encouraged. So gather some friends – grab your tickets – and head on over – easy as that!   See you soon 🙂.
